Bimini, tropical island by the Gulf Stream side
I sailed into Bimini harbor on the evening tide
Went ashore and danced the meringue ‘till the morning come
Picked the coconuts up off the ground and filled them up with rum

Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
As I recall, that’s what I came here for
Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
'Cause I have been in Bimini before

Went skin diving south of the island, Biscayne Boys and me
Underwater you can’t believe the visibility
I saw Mark dive down to 55 feet and, mon that boy can dive
Drew his sling and shot the grouper right between the eyes

Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
As I recall, that’s what I came here for
Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
‘Cause I have been in Bimini before

Some boats sail down the Exumas, some to Abaco
Some boats sail out from Miami, some boats never go
As for me my personal preference continues to be
Tropical Bahamian island, isle of Bimini

Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
As I recall, that’s what I came here for
Layin’ low in Bimini ain’t nothing new
'Cause I have been in Bimini before
